    Sligo Summer Festival Country Weekend 2020

  • The Sligo Summer Festival is the biggest festival in the Northwest and for 2020 will host 3 huge festivals including a brand new Country Music Festival weekend. The new festival will take place over the June Bank Holiday weekend in Stephen Street event plaza.

    Headliners, Mike Denver, Nathan Carter, Michael English will be joined by the likes of John McNicholl and Shauna McStravock to name a few.
    There will also be a host of Country Music activities taking place during the day including Jiving Classes, Country Music Disco’s and Line Dancing Classes over the 3 days. As always with Sligo Summer Festival events, U8 will have FREE Admission all weekend.

    There are a number of limited weekend tickets now on sale for an amazing price of only €15 for the weekend. We advise you to pick up your tickets as soon as possible before they sell out.

    Cairde Sligo Arts Festival

  •  An eight-day cultural adventure set amidst the stunning backdrop of the Wild Atlantic Way – now in its 11th year.

    Highlights include Meascan a new cross-cultural collaborative work commissioned especially for the festival; a powerful literary strand, featuring the first ever Irish event with genre-busting Maggie Nelson; and the premiere of the darkly comic Uprooted by Brokentalkers.

    Alongside events for young inquisitive minds, we also welcome our first ever Cairde Young Curators programme which presents a series of music, workshop and film carefully selected by our youth panel. At the heart of the programme lies a varied music strand featuring unique collaborations in special locations.
